Child Contact Centre

Academy of Little Angels was established in May 2010 and we have been providing a, friendly service to children and families. Academy of Little Angels prides itself on providing a safe, friendly and warm environment in which parents and family members can enjoy private quality time for themselves and their children.

Thousands of children each year have no contact with their parents. At Academy of Little Angels we provide a comfortable and safe environment where children of separated families can meet and enjoy contact with one (or both) parents, and sometimes other family members. Academy of Little Angels provides both supervised and supported contact and works in partnership with CAFCASS, Fostering and Adoption agencies, Solicitors and Local Authorities.

Our fully trained staff have years of experience of working with children and families. Academy of Little Angels are also approved to provide a Parenting Information Programme (PIP) and we hold sessions on a weekly basis.

Parenting Programme

Parenting Information Programme, (PIP) courses are run on a regular basis to accommodate the increased number of court orders being made. The courses can either be self funded or an application can be made for the cost to be paid centrally via a "Hardship Certificate" or Legal Aid.

Hardship Certificate applications are available either from the CAFCASS website or from ourselves.

Contact Suites

Our contact suites are available 7days a week for child contact.

Our child friendly suites are welcoming, with a range of age appropriate toys & games to encourage interaction between children and their parents.

Our homely environment is designed to stimulate the behaviours between everyone attending contact.

All of our contact suites are furnished to a high standard and are suitable for all ages from babies to older children.

We also have a fully equipped kitchen where parents can prepare snacks and light refreshments for their children and themselves.

Academy of Little Angels accepts referrals from Local Authorities, Solicitors, private clients and self referral for supported contact.

Supervised Contact:

Supervised contact will have a dedicated staff member throughout the visit with a written report provided. Our fully trained contact facilitators provide face to face discreet contact with children and parents.

Supported Contact:

Service for estranged parents or relatives to enjoy quality private time with their child/ren. Staff are always present to offer assistance where needed. This is a shared facility for estranged parents.  

Parent Information Programme:

Ongoing courses available when Parent(s) have been ordered by Court to attend a Programme. We are a DCSF Approved provider.

Child Escort Service:

Collection and return of chid/ren to and from Contact with full child seats provided.

Holding/Handover Service:

Without Parents having to meet face to face we can facilitate the exchange of a child(ren) at our premises.

Report Writing

A report writing service is also available, which includes:

• Initial Assessment
• Core Assessment
• Kinship Assessment
• Parenting Assessment
• Special Guardianship
• Parental Capacity Assessment (PCA)

Court appearances are charged at a daily rate.
